Saudi Airlines topped the global list of airlines in on-time flight performance for June 2026, while flyadeal ranked first among airlines in the Middle East and Africa region. This achievement comes according to a report by Cirium, a platform specialized in monitoring and analyzing airline performance.

This achievement was realized during June, one of the busiest months of the year in operational activity, as the peak return of Hajj pilgrims coincided with the start of the summer vacation season. Saudi Airlines recorded an on-time arrival rate of 92.38% and an on-time departure rate of 93.02% across 13,350 flights.

During the same period, flyadeal operated 5,150 flights, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 95.42%. Its on-time departure rate reached 96.63%, reflecting the company's outstanding operational performance in the region.

The Saudi Airlines Group confirmed that this outstanding performance reflects an integrated operational system, based on the efficiency of its employees and the integrated performance of its various sectors. Harmony with aviation sector partners contributed to managing operational traffic with high efficiency, maintaining flight punctuality despite the intensity of air operations.

Advanced digital systems, enhanced with artificial intelligence technologies, greatly supported operational efficiency. This contributed to enhancing planning and forecasting accuracy and supporting real-time decision-making, raising operational discipline levels and enhancing operational flexibility, achieving the highest efficiency levels for scheduled and additional flights.

Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Director General of the Saudi Airlines Group, pointed out that the continuity of operational performance excellence reflects the magnitude of efforts exerted by the group's employees in the planning and execution stages. He emphasized its importance, especially with overlapping seasons and multiple challenges in the aviation sector.

Al-Omar stated that work continues on developing operational capabilities to support contributing to achieving the targets of the aviation program. This approach aims to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a leading global center in the air transport industry, enhancing its pivotal role in the international air transport sector.
