The Global Technical College for Aviation Sciences in Riyadh, under the patronage of Saudi Minister of Education Yusuf Al-Benyan, celebrated the graduation of 1,611 male and female graduates from the 2025-2026 training year cohort in the disciplines of aircraft engineering and maintenance, a step that enhances the Kingdom's efforts to qualify specialized national competencies to meet the growing demand in the aviation sector. The event was attended by a number of princes, officials, military and executive leaders, and representatives of airlines and related industries.

The ceremony witnessed the graduation of the first female cohort in the specialty of aircraft engineering and maintenance, comprising 48 female graduates, a milestone that represents a shift in the path of empowering Saudi women in advanced technical disciplines and expands their presence in one of the fastest-growing sectors in the Kingdom.

The college recorded an employment rate of 88 percent for graduates of the cohort within six months of graduation, an indicator of the alignment of its training programs with labor market needs and the enhancement of partnership between training institutions and the aviation sector.

The CEO of Excellence Colleges, Engineer Ayman bin Mustafa Al Abdulah, said that the achieved results reflect the support that the Saudi leadership gives to the education and training sectors and the empowerment of national competencies in specialized fields, noting that the college has graduated more than 10,000 male and female graduates since its establishment in 2014.

He added that the high employment rates confirm the connection of training programs to the sector’s needs and the ability of graduates to compete in technical and professional fields that are witnessing rapid growth, appreciating the support of government and military entities, airlines, and industry in providing training and employment opportunities, thus contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

For his part, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Culture at 'Riyadh Air', Nahar Al-Juhani, during a speech delivered on behalf of the college’s partners, emphasized the importance of integration between training institutions and sector companies to prepare specialized national competencies, noting that the company sponsored 27 female trainees in the first female cohort in aircraft engineering and maintenance.

Al-Juhani explained that this initiative reflects 'Riyadh Air's' commitment to investing in national talents, supporting the empowerment of Saudi women in technical professions, and building sustainable career paths that meet the needs of the aviation sector and keep pace with its future expansion plans.

The college offers specialized training programs in aircraft structures, mechanics, avionics, and unmanned aircraft maintenance across various tracks, within a training system that combines theoretical qualification and practical application, aiming to prepare qualified national cadres according to the requirements of the aviation industry.

The graduation ceremony, according to its organizers, reflects the growing integration between the training system and sector partners, supporting human capacity development, enhancing the readiness of national competencies, and strengthening the Kingdom's competitiveness in the aviation sector and related industries.
