Saudi Embassy in US Warns of Rising Fraud Attempts and Impersonation of Employees
The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the United States has renewed its warning to citizens and residents about the increasing number of fraud attempts by individuals impersonating embassy employees.
The embassy emphasized that it does not request any money transfers or the sharing of personal or financial information via phone calls, text messages, or email. Therefore, it calls on everyone not to respond to such attempts, to report them through official channels, and to verify the caller's identity before sharing any information or taking any action.
In a post on its official account, the Saudi embassy in the US said: "The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renews its warning to dear citizens and residents about the increasing number of fraud attempts by individuals impersonating embassy employees. The embassy confirms that it does not request any money transfers or the sharing of personal or financial information via phone calls, text messages, or email. Therefore, it calls on everyone not to respond to such attempts, to report them through official channels, and to verify the caller's identity before sharing any information or taking any action."
