The Cabinet approved an amendment to Article 12 of the organizational arrangements of the National Risks Council, stipulating a change in the organizational affiliation of the Disaster and Crisis Management Center. It will now be linked to the head of the executive committee of the tasked Civil Defense Committee, in a step aimed at enhancing the efficiency of risk management and emergency response.

The decision amended Article 12 of the organizational arrangements of the National Risks Council, issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (445) dated 12/8/1443 AH, so that the organizational affiliation of the Disaster and Crisis Management Center is with the head of the executive committee of the tasked Civil Defense Committee.

The Cabinet directed the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Secretariat of the tasked Civil Defense Committee and its executive committee, to coordinate with the General Secretariat of the National Risks Council to complete procedures for transferring necessary employees, property, documents, and financial allocations of the Disaster and Crisis Management Center, and related work, to the Secretariat of the tasked Civil Defense Committee and its executive committee, within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of the decision.
