Umm Al-Qura University Organizes the 26th Scientific Forum on Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation Research Next September

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God preserve him – Umm Al-Qura University will organize the 26th Scientific Forum on Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation Research from 20 to 21 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to September 2-3, 2026, with the participation of a number of researchers, academics, experts, and specialists from various entities related to the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system, at the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall on the Al-Abideya University Campus.

President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Ma'adi bin Mohammed Al-Madhab, explained that the generous patronage of the forum reflects the wise leadership's interest in supporting scientific research and innovation and harnessing its outcomes to serve the guests of the Most Merciful, and enhancing national efforts aimed at developing the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Guests of the Most Merciful Service Program, and contributes to providing innovative scientific and technical solutions that elevate the experience of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, and enrich its religious, cultural, and humanitarian dimensions.

He stated that the twenty-sixth edition of the forum is held under the slogan 'Excellence and Integration in the System of Hajj and Umrah Services,' and will feature scientific sessions and specialized workshops showcasing the latest practices and research experiences in the fields of crowd management, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics services, and innovation in serving the guests of the Most Merciful.

He pointed out that the forum will be accompanied by a scientific and knowledge exhibition showcasing the most prominent initiatives, services, innovations, and research papers related to the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system, in addition to the fourth edition of 'Hajjathon,' which aims to attract students, researchers, thinkers, and entrepreneurs to provide innovative solutions and ideas that contribute to enhancing integration between academic, research, and executive bodies, and stimulate the production of qualitative scientific solutions that support national development targets and keep pace with the rapid developments in the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation sector.

The university, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, continues to complete its scientific and organizational preparations for the forum; to discuss the latest studies, research, and innovations that contribute to developing services provided to pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, and enhancing the efficiency of the operational and service system to achieve sustainable development targets.

The organization of the forum reaffirms the great support and attention that the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation sector receives from the wise leadership – may God support them – and embodies the Kingdom's established approach to developing the system of services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful according to the highest international standards.
