Historical sources confirm that the Well of Aris, located in the Quba area of Medina, is the well where the ring of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) fell, and it later became known as the Well of the Ring.

The Encyclopedia of Saudi Arabia explained that the Well of Aris is among the most famous wells linked to the Prophetic biography in Medina, due to its historical and religious significance.

In a narration recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sat by the well, permitted Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) to enter, and gave them glad tidings of Paradise, which gave the well special importance in Islamic history.

It is mentioned that the prophetic ring was used to seal official letters, was made of silver, and engraved with: Muhammad the Messenger of Allah. The ring passed after the Prophet's death to Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), until it fell from Uthman's hand approximately in the year 30 AH, and they searched for it for days without finding it, leaving the incident as one of the most famous events in the history of Medina.
