The Syrian Interior Ministry announced on Thursday the arrest of all members of the cell accused of carrying out the bombings that targeted the capital Damascus last Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said that dismantling the cell came after a 'complex security operation' carried out in coordination with the General Intelligence Directorate and security forces, and included simultaneous raids in Damascus and its countryside.

It added that the security operations targeted locations in Al-Qutayfah, Sayyidah Zaynab, Qudsiya suburb, and Ash al-Warwar, resulting in the detention of all cell members, noting that investigations are ongoing to uncover details of the plot.
