Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Iranian Aggression and Calls on Security Council to Assume Its Responsibilities

Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy condemned the continued Iranian aggression against a number of Arab states. He also affirmed the Arab League's rejection of these violations. He further called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take effective steps to stop them, amid rising regional tensions.
Nabil Fahmy affirmed that the Arab League condemns the continued Iranian aggression against several Arab states. He stressed that these practices represent an unacceptable violation of international law and the sovereignty of states. He also clarified that they exacerbate the state of instability in the region.
He added that the Arab League cannot accept any justifications for the Iranian aggression. He considered them rejected and condemned actions. In addition, these actions require a firm international stance that ensures respect for the sovereignty of states and the protection of their security and stability.
The Arab League Secretary-General called on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and political responsibilities and take effective steps to stop the Iranian violations. He also demanded work to ensure respect for the rules of international law. He stressed the importance of preventing any actions that could threaten regional peace and security, and indicated that the continuation of these aggressions calls for more effective international action. That contributes to containing the escalation and maintaining the stability of the region.
