Three Palestinians were injured on Friday after an Israeli 'Quadcopter' drone dropped a bomb in the courtyard of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza called for urgent protection for health facilities and medical staff.
This comes amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.
Anadolu correspondent quoted a medical source saying three Kamal Adwan Hospital staff members were injured, two critically, when an Israeli 'Quadcopter' drone dropped a bomb on them while they were working inside the hospital.
The source added that the injured were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City for treatment.
Kamal Adwan Hospital is currently operating at a very limited capacity after the Israeli army stormed and completely destroyed it in November and December 2024.
The hospital is located in a relatively dangerous area due to its proximity to Israeli army-controlled zones behind the so-called 'Yellow Line' in Beit Lahia.
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza stated that 'the continuation of these attacks and systematic targeting of health facilities and medical staff endangers the lives of workers and patients and undermines the health system's capacity to provide life-saving services.'
The ministry urged the UN, international humanitarian organizations, and all relevant parties to provide urgent protection for health facilities and medical staff, stop these attacks, and end the ongoing violations against the health sector.
In a related context, a medical source reported that a Palestinian was injured by Israeli army gunfire east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, without further details.
Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have resulted in 1,092 Palestinians killed and 3,507 injured as of Thursday, according to Gaza's Health Ministry data.
