Border Guard land patrols in the Rabwa sector of Asir region arrested five violators of the border security system of Yemeni nationality, after catching them attempting to smuggle 100 kilograms of the narcotic khat plant.

The Border Guard land patrols stated that the initial regulatory procedures against the violators have been completed, before handing them over along with the seized items to the competent authority to complete the legal procedures.

Security authorities called on citizens and residents to report any activities related to drug smuggling or promotion by calling (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or via numbers (999) and (994) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, in addition to the General Directorate for Narcotics Control hotline (995), or by email (Email:[email protected]).

Security authorities emphasized that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality, with no liability on the reporter, stressing the importance of promptly reporting any activities related to drug smuggling or promotion.
