The General Directorate of Civil Defense emphasized the necessity of lighting fires only in designated areas, warning of the serious risks of lighting them in wilderness parks or vegetation areas, as well as near trees and dry grass, with the aim of protecting lives and public and private property.

The Civil Defense explained that fires resulting from unsafe use of fire cause widespread destruction of vegetation, severe damage to wildlife, as well as the depletion of valuable natural resources, requiring continuous community vigilance.

It called on citizens and residents to strictly adhere to the safety instructions issued by it, which are regularly published through various media outlets and social media platforms, to ensure the safety of individuals and property.

It stressed the importance of immediately calling (911) for assistance in emergency cases within the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (998) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
