Iran's Fars news agency reported today that 'boats of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps diverted 6 ships from the Omani channel in the Strait of Hormuz'.

According to the Iranian agency, the latest developments in the Strait of Hormuz reflect the ongoing complexities surrounding the reopening of this passage, despite the US-Iranian agreement announced in mid-June.

Several ships, including oil tankers and cargo vessels, turned back while attempting to leave the Gulf via the Omani side, before some chose to cross through a route closer to Iran.

In a separate context, the Qatari Ministry of Transport earlier today announced the full resumption of maritime navigation activities for all types of marine vessels and ships with immediate effect.

The ministry, in a statement on its account on platform 'X', urged all ship operators and users to comply with applicable regulations and instructions, and to ensure the availability of security and safety equipment to achieve the highest levels of safety and security for all voyages.
