His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, accompanied by targeting of infrastructure and vital facilities, which resulted in injuries to a number of armed forces personnel in the State of Kuwait. His Excellency emphasized that Iran's actions represent an unprecedented escalation and reflect a clear determination to violate all international rules and norms, and an unacceptable disregard for the consequences of dragging the region into further tension and instability. His Excellency the Secretary General pointed out that targeting infrastructure and vital facilities not only threatens the targeted states but directly affects the security of the entire region, calling on the international community to take practical and deterrent steps to stop the repeated Iranian aggressions and hold those responsible accountable, in order to preserve regional security and peace and prevent the region from sliding into further escalation.

He stressed that the GCC stands united with the brotherly states and supports all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured members of the armed forces in the State of Kuwait.
