Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, strongly condemned the 'terrorist ballistic missile attack' carried out by the Houthi militia targeting the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Budaiwi stressed that 'this cowardly assault constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law,' and reflects the militia's determination to undermine security and stability and threaten the safety of civilians and facilities.

In the same context, Jassim Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia and its violation of all international laws and the ceasefire necessitate a firm and deterring international stance that puts an end to its hostile practices and ensures accountability of those responsible, contributing to the protection of regional and international security and peace.

He affirmed that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, noting that the Council stands united with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
