Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it targeted facilities used by the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain following American strikes on the Islamic Republic, state television reported on Wednesday.

The Revolutionary Guard said in a statement broadcast by state television that the US command and control center, main warehouses for spare parts and military equipment, and fuel tanks of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain were destroyed.

Iranian state television also reported that the army and the Revolutionary Guard launched attacks on US targets in Jordan and Kuwait. The Iranian army said it targeted Al-Azraq base in Jordan with drones, while the Revolutionary Guard said it fired cruise missiles at a US military logistics center in the Mina Abdullah area in Kuwait.

Continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Wednesday in a statement broadcast by state television that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until US 'aggressive actions' stop, and threatened to close other strategic export routes. The Revolutionary Guard said that retaliatory operations by fighters will continue, and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States ends its aggressive actions. The statement added: 'The enemy must also expect the closure of other routes for oil and gas exports that serve the interests of the United States and its allies.' The Revolutionary Guard continued: 'Either oil and gas exports in the region are available to everyone, or they are available to no one.'

End of US strikes

The US military announced the end of the round of strikes on Iran for the fourth consecutive night. Al Arabiya channel quoted the US military as saying: 'We launched precision-guided munitions at Iranian military sites for missiles and drones.' It added: 'We struck dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and the Iranian coast.'
