Land, sea, and air customs ports recorded 1,198 seizures of prohibited items, as part of the ongoing efforts by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to enhance security and protect society from prohibited items of all types and forms.

The seized items included 114 types of narcotic substances, such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Captagon pills, etc., in addition to 405 prohibited materials. ZATCA affirmed its commitment to tightening customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, to achieve and protect community security, in continuous cooperation and coordination with all relevant partners. At the same time, it called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy, by contacting the dedicated security reporting number (1910) or via email ([email protected]) or the international number (009661910). Through these channels, the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law provisions with complete confidentiality, granting a financial reward to the reporter if the information is correct.
