Kuwait Announces Confronting Missile and Drone Attacks, Calls for Adherence to Safety Guidelines
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced on Monday that air defense systems are currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks targeting the country.
The General Staff clarified in a statement published on its official account on platform 'X' that the sounds of explosions that may be heard in some areas are due to interception operations carried out by air defense systems to deal with the attacks.
It called on citizens and residents to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities and to follow official guidelines until the situation ends.
This comes amid escalating regional tensions, coinciding with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's announcement of targeting a number of countries in the region, including Bahrain and Kuwait, in response to attacks launched by US forces against Iran as part of Washington's efforts to undermine its military capabilities and limit its threats to navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
