ISTANBUL (Anadolu)

The Israeli army on Saturday launched 10 attacks on towns in southern Lebanon as part of ceasefire violations.

The attacks included airstrikes by warplanes and drones, house demolitions, dropping of sound bombs, and machine-gun fire, according to the Lebanese National News Agency, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.

These attacks come despite Lebanon and Israel signing a 'framework agreement' under US sponsorship on June 26, 2026, which states the two sides' determination to end their conflict and address its root causes.

In the Nabatieh district, Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on the outskirts of the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa early Saturday, followed less than five minutes later by another raid by a drone on the same location.

The town of Zawtar al-Sharqiya was subjected to machine-gun fire, and an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb near the Teachers' House in Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

In the Marjayoun district, within Nabatieh Governorate, the Israeli army continued demolishing houses in the town of Hula.

An Israeli drone also carried out two raids on the town of Kafr Tibnit in the Nabatieh district on Saturday afternoon.

In the Tyre district, in the South Governorate, Israeli warplanes carried out 'two raids in two waves targeting a number of residential neighborhoods in the town of Mansouri.'

A drone raided the town of Majdal Zoun, then an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb, according to the Lebanese agency.

These developments come as Israel continues to violate the 'framework agreement' signed with Lebanon under US sponsorship last June 26.

Since last March 2, Israel has been waging an aggression on Lebanon against the backdrop of its war with Iran, resulting in 4,321 deaths and 12,204 injuries as of the current July 9, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Israel continues to occupy areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades, and others since the war that took place between 2023 and 2024, having advanced more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory during the latest aggression.
