The targeting of the Saudi ship (ENCELIA) while sailing in the Red Sea has sparked warnings about its repercussions on navigation security and international trade, as political analyst Faisal Al-Shammari considered the attack reflects the Houthi militia, backed by Iran, continuing to expand the circle of escalation and test international reactions, following the Saudi General Authority for Transport's announcement of the incident's details.

An official source at the General Authority for Transport announced that the ship (ENCELIA), belonging to one of the Kingdom's companies, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, causing a fire to break out at the front of the ship.

The source confirmed the safety of all crew members, noting that the relevant authorities have taken all necessary measures to secure the ship and its crew, in addition to protecting the marine environment.

Commenting on the incident, political analyst Faisal Al-Shammari said that targeting the ship "is a direct threat to the security of the Kingdom, freedom of navigation, and global trade, and reflects the Houthi militia, backed by Iran, continuing to expand the circle of escalation and test the international stance."

Al-Shammari added, in statements on the "Al-Ekhbariya" channel, that "the Revolutionary Guard wants to open another front and pressure the United States of America by targeting ships in the Red Sea."

He also considered that "the Iranian regime is undermining the de-escalation and mediations and wants to open another front against the United States of America."
