The Muslim World League condemned on Tuesday the targeting of a number of Kuwaiti border centers, a marine drilling platform belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company, as well as attacks on the Kuwaiti Consulate General in the city of Basra, and the targeting of two Emirati oil tankers while crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

The League stated in an official statement that these attacks represent a continuation of Iran's threat to the security and stability of the region, by targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar, in a clear violation of international law, the charters of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, pointed out that the repeated Iranian attacks violate religious values, international laws and norms, and humanitarian principles, and also undermine efforts to restore security and stability in the region.

Al-Issa added that the League renews its full solidarity with sister countries in all measures they take to preserve their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens and residents.
