Political writer Mubarak Al Aati said that the Houthis preventing a Yemeni plane from landing at Sanaa Airport and allowing an Iranian plane to arrive reflects their desire to escalate the situation in Yemen.

Al Aati added, during his interview broadcast on Al Ekhbariya channel, that the warning issued by the Yemeni Ministry of Defense is very clear that it wants to spare citizens and the remaining infrastructure from this conflict.

The political writer continued, the recent Houthi action is a clear indication that they want to provoke the situation, while the Yemeni government wants to spare its citizens the horrors of that conflict, and the coming period may witness some skirmishes between the Yemeni government and the Houthis.

The Ministry of Defense called on all citizens, workers, diplomatic missions, organizations, and humanitarian bodies to immediately evacuate Sanaa International Airport and its vicinity.

The Ministry warned (in a statement) of the need to stay away from Sanaa International Airport facilities and premises and not to approach it until further notice, out of concern for the safety of all citizens, workers, and diplomatic missions, and to protect their lives.

The Ministry affirmed the persistence of the Iranian regime and the terrorist Houthi militia in violating the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and using Sanaa International Airport for purposes contrary to international laws and charters, despite the repeated warnings and diplomatic and legal efforts made by the Yemeni government to prevent escalation.

The Yemeni Ministry of Defense also affirmed that the safety of civilians and humanitarian workers is a top priority, and holds the Iranian regime and the terrorist Houthi militia fully legally and morally responsible for any consequences that may result from the continuation of these violations.
