The Public Prosecution announced that the individuals arrested after monitoring coordinated activity and organized work to undermine the security, stability, and social peace of Saudi Arabia, and to harm national unity, who were announced by the Presidency of State Security to have been detained on the second of the current Ramadan, admitted after interrogation to communicating and cooperating with organizations and individuals hostile to the Kingdom, and recruiting individuals in a sensitive government agency to obtain from them official information and documents to harm the higher interests of Saudi Arabia, and providing financial and moral support to hostile elements abroad.

It also explained that the number of detainees in this case amounted to 17 individuals. Temporary release orders were issued for 8 suspects (five women and three men) pending completion of investigation procedures, while 9 suspects remained in detention (five men and four women), after sufficient evidence was available and they confessed to the charges attributed to them, which fall under crimes warranting detention.

The Public Prosecution said: "While the Public Prosecution is keen to complete investigation procedures accurately to achieve justice, without prejudice to the security, safety of the nation, its systems and interests, it affirms that dealing with the accused is conducted in a manner that ensures their dignity, guarantees their rights, provides the possibility of contacting their families, prepares suitable and equipped places for their detention, and provides necessary health and social care for them."
