(CNN)-- Qatar's Ministry of Interior announced Sunday that three people, including a child, were injured due to falling debris resulting from missile interception operations, noting that the injured are receiving medical care.
This came in a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Interior, which read: "Within the framework of continuous follow-up of field developments, the Ministry of Interior confirms that security authorities and civil defense teams have initiated their procedures according to approved response plans following the Iranian attacks, and based on reports received and field results, the Ministry confirms the recording of three injuries, including a child, as a result of falling debris from interception operations, where the injured are receiving the necessary medical care."
It added: "Activation of national warning and alert procedures is only done when there is a need to take urgent additional preventive measures to preserve public safety," stressing the necessity of obtaining information only from official sources, and refraining from spreading rumors or publishing any unverified information, pictures or clips, to avoid legal accountability.
The Ministry concluded its statement stressing that "the competent security authorities of the Ministry of Interior continue their work with full readiness around the clock, enhancing response speed and ensuring the preservation of society's security and safety, and the continuation of services normally."
