Qatar strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks on the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, affirming that they represent a violation of the sovereignty of the targeted states and their territorial integrity, a breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness. In a statement today, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that targeting power and water desalination plants in the State of Kuwait crosses all red lines and constitutes a breach of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2817, which affirmed respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and rejected targeting civilians and vital facilities. It stressed the necessity of an immediate and complete cessation of all military operations and attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region, refraining from expanding the cycle of escalation, returning to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and adhering to understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.
