The Qatari Defense Ministry announced on Friday that it thwarted a missile attack, after AFP correspondents in the capital Doha reported hearing several explosions.

A statement published on platform X said: "The Qatari Ministry of Defense announces that the armed forces have thwarted a missile attack that targeted the State of Qatar."
