Qatar strongly condemns renewed Iranian aggressions on its territory and countries in the region
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement issued today that these aggressions constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries, and a blatant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Ministry added that the continuation of Iranian aggressions constitutes a dangerous escalation that would complicate efforts aimed at containing tension and undermine political and diplomatic endeavors to achieve security and stability in the region.
In the same context, Doha held the Islamic Republic of Iran fully legally responsible for these aggressions and their repercussions, affirming that the State of Qatar retains its full right to respond in accordance with the provisions of international law and Article (51) of the United Nations Charter, and to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and citizens.
It is noted that Qatar reaffirmed in its statement its full solidarity with the targeted countries, and its support for all legitimate measures they take to preserve their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
