The US Secret Service said on Sunday its agents shot and killed a man in his 20s after he tried to illegally enter a protected area at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi wrote on X, 'A gunman was shot and killed by Secret Service agents after he illegally entered the secure area at Mar-a-Lago early this morning.'
