The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday the deaths of 6 Palestinians within 48 hours, and the addition of 96 martyrs to the cumulative tally, raising the death toll of the Israeli genocide since October 2023 to 73,221.
This came in a statement by the ministry, stating that the addition of the 96 martyrs came after the completion of their data and approval by the Martyrs Accreditation Committee since the beginning of last June.
The statement said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received during the past 48 hours '6 new martyrs, and one martyr retrieved from under the rubble, in addition to 28 wounded.'
The statement did not mention the circumstances of the new deaths and injuries, while the Israeli army continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement in force in the Gaza Strip since October 10, 2025, through shelling and gunfire.
The ministry clarified that the death toll from Israeli violations of the agreement reached '1,098 martyrs and 3,535 wounded.'
It stated that the death toll of the Israeli genocide thus rose to '73,221 martyrs and 173,643 wounded.'
The agreement was reached after two years of genocide launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, which caused, in addition to casualties, widespread destruction affecting 90 percent of civilian infrastructure, with a reconstruction cost estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
