Syria Foils Attempt to Smuggle Over a Million Captagon Pills and Arrests Person in Charge of Shipment
The Anti-Narcotics Administration in the Syrian Arab Republic, through a security operation in Homs province, foiled an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of narcotics out of the country, after precise monitoring and tracking.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the person in charge of the shipment, identified as (R. W.), and the seizure of one million three hundred thousand (1,300,000) Captagon pills, which were hidden for camouflage inside plastic buckets.
The entire shipment was confiscated, while investigations with the detainee continue to uncover his accomplices and other involved parties, pending his referral to the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal measures against him.
