US President Donald Trump announced today (Monday) that his forces will deliver strong strikes on Tehran this evening and tomorrow.
Trump said in an interview with the 'Hugh Hewitt' program about Iran: 'The US military will deliver strong strikes on Tehran on Monday and Tuesday evenings,' adding: 'The memorandum of understanding with Iran was a test and they did not comply with it.'
He indicated that his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is very good, but he mentioned that he sometimes disagrees with him and told him so.
Trump threatened to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities under the mountains, adding: 'We had an agreement with Iran yesterday 100%, then suddenly they received a phone call and they all left the room.'
Trump described the Iranian regime as unsound, saying: 'I think the Iranian regime is not entirely sound,' adding: 'I cannot say that the ceasefire has ended.'
Earlier today, the US President announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open and will remain open, whether with or without Iran's participation, confirming the reactivation of the blockade on Iran, which he said aims to prevent ships of Iran or its proxies from entering or exiting.
He indicated that all other countries will have fair and open use of the strait, explaining that the United States will henceforth be known as the 'Guardian of the Strait of Hormuz.'
In contrast, the Iranian news agency confirmed the fall of 4 missiles in the vicinity of Konarak city and the flight of an American fighter jet over the city's airspace, explaining that 4 violent explosions were heard east of Bandar Abbas city in southern Iran.
Iranian state television reported that the explosions spread from Bandar Abbas city in Hormozgan province to Chabahar city in Sistan and Baluchestan province.
