English club Newcastle United announced on Thursday the signing of Dutch player Sean Stor from Ajax Amsterdam on a five-year contract. Ajax issued a statement clarifying that the transfer fee for the young talent is estimated at $31 million. Stor said in his first press statement after officially moving to the English club: 'An incredible feeling to be here. Newcastle is a giant club in the Premier League, and it has always been my dream to play in the best league in the world, so this is very exciting. I am a player who loves to have the ball and pass forward all the time, I prefer to play between the lines and I feel I have a lot of energy in my style of play, all I want is to win.' The 18-year-old Netherlands youth international joins Newcastle after starting his career in Ajax's youth academy, having joined the Dutch club at the age of seven. Stor, who will wear the number 14 shirt, becomes the third player signed by Newcastle in the summer transfer window after French goalkeeper Eoin Gawen and Ivory Coast winger Bazoumama Toure. Newcastle will begin their Premier League campaign at home against Liverpool on August 23.
