A press report revealed on Monday a crisis facing German Marc-André ter Stegen, Barcelona goalkeeper, threatening his departure from the Catalan club this summer.

Sport newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Ter Stegen (34) is expected to join the Sports City today with the rest of Barcelona's non-international players.

His situation differs from the rest of Barcelona's players, as the German goalkeeper has agreed with Ajax on a one-year loan, but tax disputes with Barça are preventing the agreement from being finalized and delaying its announcement.

If no agreement is reached within hours, the player will be present at Barcelona's facilities.

However, final approval is delayed, and Ajax's patience has run out; they want an immediate solution. They do not understand the reason for the delay after believing everything was clear and agreed upon.

Their astonishment has reached a point where they warn that if the disputes are not resolved quickly, whether from the player's side alone or between the player and Barcelona, there is a risk of the deal falling through.

Ter Stegen plans to leave Barcelona and head to Amsterdam as soon as he fully recovers from his recent hamstring injury, which he suffered last January during his loan to Girona, requiring surgery that kept him out of the World Cup.

The player is also in a hurry, as he has been planning his trip for days to undergo a medical examination with the Dutch club and complete the procedures for his loan to Ajax.

The Dutch club began pre-season training on July 1, and as days pass, the urgency to complete the deal increases because the first official match will be on July 23 in the Conference League, and the club wants the goalkeeper to be available.
