Al-Ettifaq Club announced on Saturday the extension of the contract of its Scottish international defender Jack Hendry for two additional seasons, as he continues his journey with the team in the upcoming period, as part of the club's preparations for the new season.

Al-Ettifaq published on its official account on platform "X" a video clip in which Hendry appeared addressing a message to the club's fans, during which he expressed his happiness at continuing his journey with the team, thanking the fans for the support he received over the past three years.

Hendry said: "Hello to Al-Ettifaq fans, I hope you are well and excited for the upcoming season as I am, and I would like to thank you for the great support you have given me over the past three years."

The Scottish defender added: "I am delighted to share with you the news of my signing of my new contract, and I am very excited to spend two additional seasons with this club, and I hope it will be a successful season for all of us. Thank you and see you soon."

Al-Ettifaq had contracted with Hendry, aged 31, during the summer transfer window of the 2023-2024 season, coming from Belgian club Club Brugge.

Since joining the team, the Scottish international defender has played 82 matches in Al-Ettifaq's shirt, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
