Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, extended his congratulations to Saudi weightlifter Mohammed Al-Ajian after he achieved a new historic milestone for Saudi weightlifting, recording a world youth record in the snatch event for the 56kg category by successfully lifting 114kg during his participation in the World Youth Championships (under-17) currently held in Cali, Colombia.

The Minister of Sports said on his official account on platform X: 'I congratulate our young champion Mohammed Al-Ajian on winning the gold medals in the snatch and total in the World Youth Championships, and breaking the world record... A distinguished achievement and a great future awaits our stars.'

The Saudi national team continues its participation in the championship, hosted by the Colombian city of Cali from July 5 to 11, with the participation of an elite group of prominent young weightlifters from various countries around the world, amid aspirations to continue achieving honorable results and raising the nation's flag on the podiums.
