Al-Jeel Club, newly promoted to the First Division (Yellow), announced its signing of veteran midfielder Mohammed Al-Fahid, champion of the Saudi Professional League for the 2012-2013 season, without revealing the contract duration. Al-Fahid (36 years old) signed his contract with the Al-Ahsa club on Monday, coming from Al-Faisaly after one season spent in the 'Yellow' during which he played 19 matches. Al-Fahid had left Al-Fateh after 16 years in its ranks, having won the league title with it, making him one of the most prominent playmakers of the golden generation of the Al-Ahsa club. Al-Jeel's management relies on the player's experience to strengthen the midfield of the team led by Saudi coach Ahmed Al-Turki, after achieving promotion from the Second Division under the leadership of Egyptian Abdullah Darwish.

This step comes as part of Al-Jeel's preparations for the new season in the Yellow League, as the team seeks to establish its presence in the First Division after its promotion.

Al-Fahid is considered one of the most prominent players of Al-Fateh over the past decade, and he is expected to add his great experience to the young Al-Jeel. If he succeeds in leading the team to positive results, it may enhance the chances of staying in the Yellow League or competing for promotion. The focus will be on his ability to withstand the pressure of matches after reaching the age of 36.
