Al Khaleej signs Portuguese Miguel Crespo until 2028
Al Khaleej continued to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new sports season, after officially announcing the signing of Portuguese midfielder Miguel Crespo on a contract extending until summer 2028, in a deal aimed at bolstering the midfield with distinctive European experience.
Crespo's arrival is part of Al Khaleej's management strategy to reinforce the team with quality and experienced players, as he is considered one of the most prominent Portuguese midfielders who have had successful stints in European stadiums, thanks to his abilities in building attacks, accurate passing, and the ability to perform both defensive and offensive roles.
Crespo is 29 years old, born on September 11, 1996, in the Portuguese city of Leça da Palmeira, and excels in the midfield position, either as a defensive midfielder or an advanced midfielder.
Crespo's career in stadiums: The player started his career in the academy of Porto, before moving to several Portuguese clubs, most notably Braga B, Mirandela, and Estoril Praia, where he stood out significantly. He then moved to Turkish club Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2021, participating with them in the Turkish league and the Europa League, before having another stint with Başakşehir, continuing to deliver strong performances in Turkish football.
Al Khaleej hopes that Crespo will be an impactful technical addition to the midfield, benefiting from his extensive experience in European and Turkish competitions, as part of the team's quest to appear more competitive and achieve positive results in the upcoming season.
