Al-Qadsiah accepts resignation of Al-Ruzaiz.. and assigns Al-Turki
Al-Qadsiah Club approved the resignation of Board Chairman Badr Al-Ruzaiz and tasked member Rami Al-Turki to assume his position, according to a statement posted on its website on Sunday. Al-Ruzaiz, who reports indicate intends to enter the race for the presidency of the Football Federation after Yasser Al-Mashal's resignation, took over the leadership of Al-Qadsiah in February 2024. The statement included a special remark from Al-Ruzaiz: 'As I leave this position, I would like to express my gratitude to Saudi Aramco for its continuous support and belief in our vision, which has had an effective impact on the development of work at the club.' He added: 'I thank my colleagues on the board of directors for their dedication, and all the players and administrators who worked with all their effort to achieve success, as well as the fans of Al-Qadsiah who were the beating heart of the club.' Meanwhile, Al-Turki expressed his happiness with the trust given to him to assume the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors by assignment during the next phase of the club's journey. He said: 'We are fully committed, both on and off the field, to achieving sporting achievements and nurturing outstanding talent. We do not focus solely on football, but on all activities that we are working to provide with care and development, including women's sports and community activities. We are also committed to deepening our relationships with various segments of society and enhancing the experiences of all our club supporters.'
