Al-Ahli club has outlined its new season early, after announcing its friendly match schedule during its external pre-season camp, a step aimed at providing the appropriate atmosphere to launch a new championship season domestically and continentally.

Al-Ahli will play 7 friendlies during the preparation period, starting with a match against Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic on July 11, then Holstein Kiel of Germany on July 15, Rheindorf Altach of Austria on July 19, before moving to Portugal to face Vitória Guimarães on July 24, then Portimonense and Fulham of England on July 28, and concluding its preparation schedule with a match against Saudi Arabia's Abha on August 6.

Al-Ahli's preparations were not limited to the early camp; it also strengthened its ranks with a number of foreign players during the summer transfer window, as part of a technical plan aimed at enhancing the team's quality and giving German coach Matthias Jaissle more options, commensurate with the scale of competitions awaiting the team next season.

Al-Ahli's management looks forward to translating these preparations into results on the pitch, amid the aspirations of its fans, who place the Intercontinental Cup and the Saudi Roshn League at the top of priorities, after the team became one of the most prominent Saudi and continental clubs in recent years.

Al-Ahli will be set for a historic participation in the Intercontinental Cup for the second consecutive season, making it the only team to participate in the tournament in two successive editions, reflecting the status the club has reached at the continental level.

Al-Ahli had made an appearance in the previous edition of the tournament, but its journey stopped after losing to Egypt's Pyramids, leaving the competition despite putting in notable performances.

As for the next edition, the team enters with greater ambitions, aiming to go as far as possible, and to win the title that its fans are waiting for, along with competing strongly for the Roshn League title, as the club's two main objectives for the new season.
