Al-Taawoun club's management reopened negotiations with its Damac counterpart to sign Dhari Al-Anzi, the left back of the first football team, this summer, according to a private source for Al-Riyadiya. The same source confirmed that negotiations had previously stopped due to the election of the new management of the southern club, noting that Al-Taawoun seeks to finalize the deal as soon as possible so that the player can join the team's ongoing camp in the Dutch city of Mierlo. Dhari (26 years old) progressed through the youth categories of Al-Nassr before moving to Damac in the 2022-2023 season, and participated with them in 107 matches, during which he did not score and made four assists. On the other hand, Al-Taawoun players returned to daily training on Sunday as part of their camp organized in Mierlo, after the rest day granted to them on Saturday, according to the official account on the X platform. Serbian coach Zarko Lazetic imposed physical and technical training on all players, interspersed with recovery exercises, following a 2-0 victory over Dutch side Helmond in the team's first friendly match. Al-Taawoun has three remaining matches to be announced later as part of their ongoing camp, which extends until August 5.
