Abdullah Al-Owaisher, the goalkeeper of Al-Wehda first football team, has been excluded from the preparatory camp for the next season, according to sources told Asharq Al-Awsat. After the goalkeeper prepared to travel with the team to Antalya, Turkey, he was informed in the last hours before takeoff on Sunday from Jeddah of his exclusion from the trip, by a decision from the technical staff. Thus, 'Fursan Makkah' arrived in Antalya with only two goalkeepers, Abdulrahman Al-Shammari and Khaled Al-Sharif. It is scheduled that Al-Wehda, preparing for the 'Yelo' First Division League season, will play three friendly matches during the camp, which concludes on August 6 and is led by North Macedonian Slavcho Voineski, the team's new coach. The delegation included 25 players, including seven promoted from the under-21 team, coached by Issa Al-Mahyani. Before traveling to Turkey, Voineski led in Mecca the first phase of the preparation program, which consisted of daily training sessions at the club's stadium.
