Al-Wehda fans optimistic with new management

The new 2026-2027 football season, starting next August, sees Al-Wehda team in the First Division League for the ninth time in its history and for the second consecutive time, after failing to achieve promotion to the top flight in the past season 2025-2026.

Except for last season, in which the team failed to achieve promotion, Al-Wehda, in all previous relegations, managed to quickly return to the top flight.

Fans and supporters of the Knights of Makkah hope that the new elected management, headed by Hazem Al-Lihyani, will succeed in returning the team to the top flight after failing to achieve promotion last season.

It is noted that the 8 times Al-Wehda was relegated were in the 1981-1982 season, 1994-1995 season, 2001-2002 season, the 2010-2011 season in which the team was relegated after being deducted 3 points, the 2012-2013 season, the 2016-2017 season, the 2020-2021 season, and the 2024-2025 season.
