Al-Anwar club in Al-Hawtah has opened direct negotiations with Salman Al-Faraj and goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Muaiouf, former Al-Hilal players, to sign them and strengthen their first football team, according to a special source for Al-Riyadiya. The same source stated that the club management agreed with Issa Al-Mahyani, who was appointed head coach last Tuesday, to bolster the squad with experienced players before the start of the new sports season. Al-Anwar competes in the Yellow League for first-division clubs, and the club's management seeks to lay the foundation that helps the team compete and gain promotion to the Roshen League next season.

Neom club announced early last June that it had ended its relationship with Al-Faraj (36 years old) after he spent two seasons with the northern team, coming from Al-Hilal, and contributed to its promotion to the Saudi Roshen League. Al-Faraj played 24 matches for Neom in various competitions, during which he provided three assists, according to Transfermarkt, while a cruciate ligament injury sidelined him for 388 days before he returned last December.

Meanwhile, Al-Muaiouf (39 years old) stayed away from playing last season after a short professional stint with Al-Shabab. His last appearance on the field was against his former club Al-Hilal, 422 days ago, specifically on April 21, 2025, ending in a 2-2 draw in the 29th round of the Saudi Roshen League.

Al-Anwar was promoted from the Second Division to the First Division in the 2024-2025 season, participated last season in the Yellow League, and finished in twelfth place in its first season.
