France’s national football team will be without Aurélien Tchouaméni, the Real Madrid midfielder, for their match against Paraguay on Saturday in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup due to a thigh injury. The 26-year-old started in three of France’s four matches in the tournament. French newspaper L'Équipe reported that Manu Koné is expected to replace him. France topped Group Nine with a perfect record after winning all three group games, then secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sweden in the Round of 32.
