Al-Nassr's Lisbon Trip Delayed at Airport
The departure of Al-Nassr first team delegation, scheduled for Sunday noon, from Riyadh to Lisbon, Portugal, was delayed due to flight circumstances, according to a special source to Al-Riyadiya. The same source indicated that members of the capital's yellow delegation arrived on Sunday morning at the departure lounge for private aviation, and minutes before boarding the plane, the flight was canceled due to flight circumstances, with departure rescheduled for early Monday. The source explained that Australian coach Ange Postecoglou, after the flight cancellation, was forced to give the players a 24-hour break, with them undergoing recovery exercises immediately upon arrival, while the first training session will begin on Tuesday. Al-Riyadiya had indicated on July 17 that Australian Postecoglou preferred to advance the date of the external camp, which was originally set for July 25, to be on the 19th of the same month before the flight was delayed, and the external preparation concludes on August 5. The capital powerhouse had announced last Friday that the team would play four friendly matches, starting against Benfica B on the 22nd of this month, followed five days later by Spanish side Mérida. In early August, they will face Portuguese side Estrela Amadora, and conclude preparation with a match against Spanish side Almería on the 4th of the same month. The Saudi Roshn League champion is preparing to compete in four tournaments next season: the Saudi League, King's Cup, Saudi Super Cup, and AFC Champions League Elite.
