Abha club management signed Senegalese international Abdou Diallo to bolster the first football team ahead of the new season, according to a club post on X on Thursday. With his joining, Diallo becomes the 32nd Senegalese player to join the Saudi Roshn League since the professional era began in the 2008-2009 season. Al Riyadiya reported on Sunday, citing its own sources, that Abha management had opened negotiations with the international defender. Diallo, born in France and standing 1.68 meters tall, is left-footed. He began his career at the Monaco academy, progressing to the first team in 2015, then moved to Belgian side Zulte Waregem in 2016, and from there to German club Mainz in 2017. After one season with the team, he moved to Dortmund, and in 2019 he signed with French club Paris Saint-Germain for three seasons before returning to the German league through Leipzig. In 2023, Diallo chose a new professional experience, this time in the Middle East, signing with Qatari club Al Arabi. After one season there, he moved to Al Duhail, and in 2026 he was loaned to Umm Salal until the end of his contract last season.
