Anxiety grows as England trio miss training ahead of Norway clash
Concern is mounting in the England camp as they prepare for a heavyweight clash against Norway for a place in the World Cup semi-finals.
According to The Sun, three England stars missed training ahead of the World Cup quarter-final against Norway, scheduled for next Saturday.
Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, and Reece James were absent from the training session, working individually.
Rice is suffering from a hamstring issue, but is still expected to play against Norway in Miami. Centre-back Guehi is also dealing with muscle fatigue, but appears likely to feature as well.
However, right-back James has missed the last three matches due to a hamstring problem and is in a race against time to be fit.
With Jarell Quansah suspended after being sent off in the team's 3-2 victory over Mexico, it appears that Jed Spence will start at right-back.
Jordan Henderson has returned to the team hotel after undergoing arm surgery in Mexico, but he was not present at training and will remain with the squad for the duration of the tournament.
Coach Thomas Tuchel is keen to keep him with the team because he represents a positive influence.
