Press reports have revealed that Real Madrid has begun to explore the possibility of signing Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic during the current summer transfer window.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, a representative of Real Madrid contacted the player's camp to inquire about his willingness to join the team, as well as to obtain information regarding his current status after the end of his stint with Saudi side Al-Nassr.

The report pointed out that Brozovic has become a free agent after his contract with Al-Nassr ended, making him an available option for Real Madrid without the need to pay a transfer fee.

The source added that Real Madrid's management is considering signing the Croatian international on a contract lasting only one season, as part of efforts to strengthen the midfield with significant experience before the start of the new season.

At the same time, the report clarified that Portuguese coach José Mourinho is also impressed by Brozovic's abilities, which could spark competition for the player in the coming days, pending the decision on his next destination.
