The technical staff of Al-Ahli's first football team has set a comprehensive program of friendly matches during the external camp in Austria, as part of preparations for the new season.

The team will play seven friendly matches against German, Austrian, Portuguese, and Saudi clubs, in order to give the technical staff an opportunity to test all elements and implement the team's tactical approach.

Al-Ahli will open its friendly matches by playing against Austrian side Zell am See on the 11th of this month, four days later it will face German side Holstein Kiel, and on the 19th it will meet Portuguese side Rio Ave.

On July 24, Al-Ahli, the Asian champion of the last two seasons, will meet Portuguese side Vitória Guimarães, four days later with Portuguese side Portimonense, and on the 28th with English side Fulham.

Al-Ahli will conclude its friendly matches by facing its team Abha on the 6th of next August.

The technical staff led by German Matthias Jaissle aims to utilize these matches to assess the readiness of all players and give new players the opportunity to integrate with the team, before entering a season in which Al-Ahli awaits numerous domestic and continental engagements, amid its fans' aspirations to continue competing for titles.
