Egyptian Sports Minister Decides Pharaohs' Preparation Program for Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers
Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Juhar Nabil, was keen to hold a session with Hani Abu Rida, head of his country's football association, and Ahmed Diab, head of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly sought to find solutions to end the crisis of the headquarters land of Zamalek Club with the General Authority for Endowments in his country, in the presence of Juhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports.
Madbouly said, according to the official account of the Egyptian Cabinet, today (Tuesday), that the problem of Zamalek Club's land in the city of 'Hadayek October' had previously been resolved.
In light of what has been raised about a current problem with Zamalek Club's land, which belongs to the Endowments Authority, this meeting aims to work on bringing viewpoints closer and reaching solutions.
He added that in light of this, the Minister of Endowments presented during the meeting the status of Zamalek Club's land and the proposed solutions from the Egyptian Endowments Authority to solve the problem, noting that these solutions are out-of-the-box ideas.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Endowments Authority presented during the meeting a summary of the proposed solutions from the authority, which aim to address the situation and represent a realistic and integrated solution to the problem of Zamalek Club's land, going beyond the traditional approach, pointing out that these solutions include a new partnership model aimed at protecting the rights of the Endowments Authority, taking into account the actual financial capacity of the club, and investing the latent value in the distinguished location of the land, and generating sustainable cash flows for both parties.
Khaled al-Tayeb pointed out that the partnership idea revolves around one of two main proposals, each aimed at achieving a balance between protecting the authority's rights and enabling the club to fulfill its obligations through generating real revenues, noting that the detailed financial model is currently being prepared to reach the best solutions for the different parties, taking into account all financial and legal scenarios.
During the meeting, the President of Zamalek Club indicated that there is currently cooperation between the two sides; the Endowments and the club, with the aim of reaching suitable solutions for all parties.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed to complete studies on the proposed solutions, whether economic feasibility studies or traffic studies related to the projects proposed to be implemented in partnership between the Endowments Authority and Zamalek Club; in order to reach final radical solutions to this problem.
