13 anticipated fights next Saturday, including three Saudi bouts..

Today (Tuesday), the boxing week events for the 'The Comeback' fight kicked off in the city of Jeddah, the Bride of the Red Sea, as preparations enter their final phase ahead of the global boxing night hosted by the Jeddah Super Dome next Saturday. Headlining the card is the highly anticipated heavyweight clash between former world champion Briton Anthony Joshua and Albanian boxer Christian Breinge, who met face-to-face today aboard a yacht at the Jeddah Yacht Club, as part of an event that is one of the highlights of the 'Jeddah Calendar' in collaboration with 'Riyadh Season', and in partnership with 'Matchroom', 'Sela', 'Gold Star', and 'Queensberry'.

The official program for fight week begins tomorrow (Wednesday), with the eyes of the boxing community and international media turning to Jeddah to follow the final days before the main event, along with a large set of global fights and Saudi and Arab participations, in an event that reflects the Kingdom's continued presence on the map of hosting major international sports and entertainment events.

Wednesday will see the 'Grand Arrivals Launch Party' held at the Jeddah Yacht Club and the Edition Jeddah Hotel, starting at 8:00 PM, with the presence of boxers, invited guests, and media representatives.

The event includes a red carpet and designated areas for photography and media interviews, giving the public and media their first collective glimpse of the card's stars before they step into the ring.

On Thursday, the official press conference for all boxers will be held at the Jeddah Promenade at 9:00 PM, where participants will meet the media to discuss their preparations and ambitions before the fights, along with verbal face-offs and direct interviews that raise the level of anticipation ahead of Saturday night. The conference will be broadcast on the 'DAZN' platform, allowing audiences around the world to follow the key statements and moments leading up to the event.

On Friday, July 24, the ceremonial weigh-in and final face-offs between all boxers will take place at the Jeddah Promenade at 9:00 PM, in the presence of media and invited guests. The weigh-in represents the last station before the event moves to the Jeddah Super Dome on Saturday, where boxers will step on the scale and face each other for the final time before settling their bouts inside the ring.

Headlining the 'The Comeback' card is the main heavyweight event between Anthony Joshua and Christian Breinge, a match of special significance for both parties. Joshua returns to the ring with a professional record of 29 wins, 26 by knockout, and four losses, aiming for his 30th victory and continuing his presence among the world's top heavyweight stars. Breinge enters the fight with a record of 20 wins, all by knockout, and one loss, giving the bout a strong offensive character given both fighters' high capacity to end fights before the final bell.

Joshua is one of the most famous heavyweights of the past decade, having twice been crowned unified world champion, in addition to winning the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics. During his professional career, he has scored notable victories over Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, New Zealander Joseph Parker, Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev, and American-Mexican Andy Ruiz Jr. He has also fought major bouts against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Daniel Dubois, and has appeared in some of the world's most famous venues, including Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

In contrast, Breinge is taking on the biggest fight of his professional career since transitioning to boxing in 2016, relying on his offensive power and impressive knockout record. The Albanian boxer had expressed during previous media appearances his respect for Joshua's career and achievements, but at the same time affirmed his confidence in his ability to produce a major surprise in Jeddah. Joshua, for his part, emphasized his awareness of the difficulty of the task and his full focus on preparation and training to deliver the level his fans expect.

The evening includes two prominent fights for world titles. Briton Hamza Sheeraz defends his WBO super middleweight title against German Simon Zacheinhuber, in Sheeraz's first defense of the belt he won in Egypt last May. Sheeraz enters the fight with an undefeated record of 23 wins and one draw, including 19 knockouts, while Zacheinhuber has 29 wins against one loss, setting the stage for a clash combining offensive power and competitive experience.

Briton Josh Kelly puts his IBF light middleweight title on the line against undefeated Irishman Kwamehin Agyarko. Kelly makes his first defense of the title he seized earlier this year after defeating Russian Bakram Murtazaliev, while Agyarko, with 18 wins without loss, gets his first opportunity to compete for a world championship in his professional career, adding great significance to the bout for both fighters.

The card also features a highly anticipated bout between Japanese Rito Tsutsumi and Mexican Alvino Herrera. Tsutsumi returns to the Kingdom after his impressive appearance at the 'Samurai Night' show in Riyadh, while Herrera enters the fight undefeated in his professional record. The matchup brings together two rising boxers, each seeking to take a new step towards top positions in global rankings.

Ukrainian Olympic gold medalist Oleksandr Khyzhniak fights his second professional bout against Frenchman Leny Batreche, who also enters the match with an undefeated record. Khyzhniak carries extensive experience in amateur competitions and international tournaments, and the Jeddah fight represents an important test for him in his transition to professional boxing.

Briton Mickey Tallon makes his debut in the Kingdom as he faces Venezuelan Orlando Pino, while Indian Nishant Dev continues his professional journey against Peruvian Cesar Diaz. Dev has had a strong start since turning professional, following his amateur career and international appearances, while Diaz seeks to use his experience to stop his opponent's winning streak.

In another fight, Danish Jacob Bank meets Polish boxer Paweł August. August made a significant surprise in his previous appearance when he defeated Simon Zachenhuber despite stepping in as a replacement with a short preparation period, while Bank enters the bout with a record of 19 wins without loss, making the encounter one of the most competitively balanced fights on the card.

The evening features prominent Saudi participation through three of the Kingdom's top professional boxers. Mohammed Al-Aqel faces Maltese boxer Laydon Chirchop, in a bout where Al-Aqel aims to maintain his undefeated record and advance his professional career before the Saudi audience.
